Medicare Advantage companies make business decisions
about offerings they make available to people on Medicare every year.
It is highly recommended that Medicare beneficiaries review their plans for
changes every year.
This year is more important than ever because some insurance carriers have
indicated they will not renew their Private-Fee-For-Service (PFFS) contracts
for 2010. As a result, several thousand Medicare beneficiaries must make a
change.
This should be a major concern for you. However, 50 Plus is taking some
positive steps to assist with this transition. 50 Plus will be hosting
educational forums throughout the area to explain your options for 2010.
Medicare is allowing a special enrollment period beginning Oct. 1.
